FindMyTutor UAE — Student, Parent & Guardian Terms
Operated by Zyron FZE LLC
Effective Date: 1 May 2026
Last Updated: 20 September 2026
1. Introduction
These Student, Parent & Guardian Terms ("Terms") apply specifically to people who use FindMyTutor UAE ("the Platform"), operated by Zyron FZE LLC ("we", "us", "our"), as a student, parent, or legal guardian. These Terms supplement and form part of our Terms of Service.
By creating a student or parent account, posting a request, browsing tutor profiles, or messaging tutors, you agree to be bound by these Terms in addition to our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and other applicable policies.
If there is any conflict between these Terms and our Terms of Service, the Terms of Service prevail unless these Terms expressly state otherwise.
2. Who These Terms Apply To
These Terms apply to:
- Adult learners aged 18 or over using the Platform on their own behalf.
- Parents and legal guardians using the Platform on their own behalf or on behalf of a minor in their care.
- Anyone posting or managing a tutoring request through the Platform, including for adult learning purposes.
3. Eligibility
By creating an account, you confirm that you are:
- At least 18 years of age; OR
- A parent or legal guardian of a minor in your care, creating and managing the account on the minor's behalf. Where an account is created on behalf of a minor, the parent or guardian assumes full responsibility for all activity on that account. We do not collect or display dates of birth, but you remain responsible for ensuring this eligibility requirement is met.
4. Free Use
Posting tutoring requests, browsing tutor profiles, viewing publicly available information, creating an account, and sending messages to tutors are all free of charge for students, parents, and guardians. We have no plans to charge students or parents for these features.
Tutors pay a subscription fee to access certain features (such as viewing shared contact details and replying to messages). This is invisible to you and does not affect your ability to use the Platform.
5. Posting Tutoring Requests
5.1 Request Information
When you submit a request, you may be asked to provide:
- The subject the student needs help with.
- The level or curriculum (e.g. UK GCSE, IGCSE, IB, A-Level, MoE).
- The location and emirate where lessons would take place (or whether online tutoring is preferred).
- An indicative budget.
- Preferred schedule and availability.
- A short description of learning goals or context.
5.2 Accuracy and Honesty
All information you provide must be accurate, current, lawful, and not misleading. You must not submit fake, dishonest, or testing requests. We may remove or edit requests that breach these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law.
6. Selecting and Engaging a Tutor
6.1 Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for choosing a tutor. This includes:
- Reviewing tutor profiles, qualifications (where shared), experience, and any reviews.
- Conducting your own due diligence about the suitability of any tutor.
- Communicating with the tutor before committing to a lesson or arrangement.
- Agreeing the price, schedule, location, and other terms directly with the tutor.
- Where the student is a minor, ensuring appropriate parental or guardian oversight throughout.
6.2 What We Do Not Guarantee
We do not guarantee:
- The accuracy or completeness of any tutor's profile or claims.
- The qualifications, identity, character, or background of any tutor (whether or not they hold the Verified badge).
- The quality, safety, or outcome of any tutoring arrangement.
- Academic results, exam outcomes, or progress. Tutors are independent service providers, not our employees or agents.
7. Communication and Privacy Controls
7.1 Messaging
You may message tutors free of charge after creating an account. Tutors must have paid access (an active paid subscription or free trial) to reply or send messages. If a tutor does not have paid access, they will be notified that you have messaged them, but they cannot read the message or respond until they subscribe or start a free trial.
7.2 Sharing Contact Details
You control, in your account settings, whether tutors can see your email address and phone number. Both are switched off by default. If you switch them on, they are visible only to tutors with an active paid subscription or free trial, on your requests and in conversations with you. Messages sent through FindMyTutor may be reviewed by our team to keep the platform safe, prevent fraud and enforce our Terms.
7.3 If You Choose to Share Contact Details
If you opt to share your email or phone, you accept that:
- Tutors with an active paid subscription or free trial may contact you directly through those channels.
- Communication that takes place outside the Platform is outside our visibility and control.
- If a tutor misuses your contact details, you should report it to us at [email protected].
7.4 Communication Standards
You must communicate with tutors respectfully and in good faith. You must not harass tutors, send spam, misuse their contact details, or breach the Acceptable Use Policy.
8. Lesson Arrangements and Payments
8.1 Independent Arrangements
All tutoring arrangements are made directly between you and the tutor. We are not a party to those arrangements and have no role in lesson scheduling, delivery, or payment.
8.2 Payments to Tutors
All lesson fees are paid by you directly to the tutor according to whatever arrangement you agree. We do not handle, process, hold, or guarantee any such payments. We do not take any commission on tutoring fees.
8.3 Disputes With Tutors
Disputes about lessons, payments, cancellations, refunds for lessons, or quality of tutoring are between you and the tutor. We are not responsible for resolving such disputes, although we may take action under our Acceptable Use Policy if a tutor's conduct breaches our policies.
9. Responsibility for Minors
Where the student is a minor and you are the parent or guardian, you are responsible for:
- Choosing the tutor.
- Reviewing and approving the lesson arrangements (subject, schedule, location, format, fees).
- Supervising or being aware of communication between the tutor and the minor.
- Being present, or making appropriate arrangements, for in-person lessons.
- Setting and reinforcing safety expectations with the tutor and the minor.
- Reporting any concerns to us promptly. If you are not the parent or guardian of the minor and have any reason to believe a minor on the Platform is at risk, please contact us at [email protected] immediately.
10. Safety in In-Person Tutoring
If lessons are delivered in person, you should:
- Choose safe, appropriate, and lawful locations.
- Avoid isolated locations, particularly for first meetings or where a minor is involved.
- Where the student is a minor, ensure a parent or guardian is present or readily available.
- Take any other reasonable precautions you would take when allowing a service provider into your home or meeting them in public. Zyron FZE LLC is not responsible for in-person interactions or any incidents that occur during or in connection with them.
11. Online Tutoring Safety
If lessons are delivered online, you should:
- Use reputable video, audio, or messaging platforms.
- Where the student is a minor, supervise the session or remain nearby and ensure a parent or guardian has visibility of the arrangement.
- Avoid sharing more personal information than necessary.
- Avoid recording sessions without all parties' informed consent.
12. Reviews
Where the Platform invites you to leave a review of a tutor:
- Reviews must be honest, fair, and based on your own genuine experience.
- You must not post fake, defamatory, abusive, or misleading reviews.
- We may moderate, hide, or remove reviews that breach our policies.
- Where reviews are limited to users who have had a confirmed conversation with the tutor on the Platform, you must not attempt to bypass that limitation.
13. Prohibited Conduct
In addition to the rules in our Acceptable Use Policy, you must not:
- Submit fake, dishonest, or testing requests.
- Misuse a tutor's contact details, particularly after a tutoring arrangement has ended.
- Harass, threaten, or pressure tutors.
- Attempt to obtain tutoring services without intending to pay the agreed fees.
- Request services that are unlawful or that breach our policies.
14. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account in line with our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy. You may also close your account at any time by contacting [email protected] or using the relevant function in your account settings.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law, Zyron FZE LLC is not liable for: (i) the conduct, performance, or outcomes of any tutor; (ii) any in-person or online interaction between users; (iii) academic outcomes; or (iv) any financial arrangements between you and a tutor. The general limitations set out in our Terms of Service apply.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version will be posted on the Platform with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UAE courts, on the same basis as set out in our Terms of Service.
