FindMyTutor UAE — Acceptable Use Policy

1. Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules and standards that apply to all users of FindMyTutor UAE ("the Platform"), operated by Zyron FZE LLC ("we", "us", "our"). The AUP forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service.

By using the Platform, you agree to comply with this AUP. Failure to comply may lead to content removal, account suspension, account termination, and where appropriate, referral to law-enforcement authorities.

2. Purpose of the Platform

The Platform is designed to connect students, parents, and legal guardians with independent tutors for legitimate tutoring purposes. You may use the Platform only for lawful, good-faith purposes consistent with this objective.

3. General Standards of Conduct

All users must:

Act honestly, fairly, and in good faith.
Treat other users with respect and dignity.
Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
Comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the United Arab Emirates.
Use the Platform only for its intended purpose.
Respect the safety, privacy, and wellbeing of other users, particularly minors.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You must not engage in any of the following on or through the Platform.

4.1 Fraud, Misrepresentation and Deception

Providing false, inaccurate, or misleading information.
Misrepresenting your identity, qualifications, experience, credentials, or affiliation.
Uploading falsified, altered, or stolen documents to the verification system or elsewhere.
Impersonating another person, business, or organisation.
Creating accounts using fake names or identities.
Misleading other users about pricing, services, locations, or outcomes.

4.2 Harassment, Abuse and Inappropriate Behaviour

Harassing, threatening, intimidating, bullying, or abusing any user.
Using offensive, discriminatory, hateful, or sexually inappropriate language.
Engaging in behaviour that could reasonably cause distress or harm.
Sending repeated unwanted messages after a user has clearly indicated that they do not wish to be contacted.
Coercing, pressuring, or manipulating any user, particularly a minor or a vulnerable adult.

4.3 Misuse of Personal Data and Contact Details

This is one of the most important rules on the Platform. You must not:

Collect, store, copy, or process the personal data of other users beyond what is reasonably necessary to arrange and deliver tutoring services to that specific user.
Share, sell, transfer, or otherwise disclose another user's contact details, identity, or messages to any third party.
Use contact details obtained on the Platform for marketing unrelated to that user's tutoring request.
Add another user to a mailing list, group chat, broadcast list, or marketing channel without their explicit consent.
Attempt to bypass, override, or work around any privacy control on the Platform.

4.4 Misuse of the Messaging System

Sending spam, bulk messages, or unsolicited promotions.
Promoting unrelated services, products, or platforms.
Requesting sensitive personal or financial information that is not necessary for tutoring.
Sharing harmful, illegal, or sexually explicit content.
Attempting to move a user off the Platform for the purpose of harassment, fraud, or other improper conduct.

4.5 Manipulation of the Platform

Creating duplicate or multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage, evade restrictions, or manipulate visibility.
Creating or using multiple accounts, email addresses, payment cards or devices to obtain more than one free trial, or otherwise abusing promotional offers.
Manipulating search results, rankings, or featured placements through artificial means.
Posting fake reviews, ratings, or testimonials, or asking others to do so.
Artificially inflating views, clicks, messages, or other engagement metrics.
Interfering with the normal operation of the Platform.

4.6 Technical Misuse

Attempting to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, other users' accounts, or our infrastructure.
Scraping, harvesting, or extracting data from the Platform by automated means without our prior written consent.
Introducing viruses, malware, worms, or other harmful code.
Using bots, scripts, or automation tools to interact with the Platform without authorisation.
Probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of the Platform without our prior written consent.
Overloading, flooding, or otherwise disrupting Platform systems.

4.7 Illegal Activities

Using the Platform for any unlawful purpose under UAE law.
Offering, requesting, or facilitating any illegal service.
Engaging in fraud, money laundering, or financing of illegal activities.
Violating intellectual-property rights of any third party.

4.8 Inappropriate Content

You must not upload, post, share, or transmit any content that:

Is sexually explicit, obscene, or pornographic.
Glorifies, encourages, or facilitates violence, self-harm, or harm to others.
Is discriminatory, hateful, or denigrating on the basis of race, religion, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
Infringes the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party.
Is defamatory or knowingly false.
Is contrary to UAE public morals or public order.

4.9 Conduct Involving Minors

Special rules apply where minors are involved. You must not:

Engage in any inappropriate, suggestive, romantic, or sexual communication with a minor.
Request personal information from a minor that is not strictly necessary for tutoring.
Attempt to bypass parental or guardian oversight, or encourage a minor to keep communication secret from their parent or guardian.
Arrange to meet a minor in private without explicit parental or guardian knowledge and consent.
Behave in any way that could reasonably be considered to put a minor at risk. Additional safeguarding standards are set out in our Safeguarding & Safety Policy.

Messages sent through FindMyTutor may be reviewed by our team to keep the platform safe, prevent fraud and enforce our Terms.

5. Tutor-Specific Rules

In addition to the general rules above, tutors must not:

Guarantee specific academic results, grades, or exam outcomes.
Make false claims about qualifications, accreditations, or affiliations.
Misuse student or parent personal data.
Pressure students or parents to enter into arrangements that are unsafe, exploitative, or financially unfair.
Use the Platform in a way that breaches any condition of their visa, residency, employment, or licensing in the UAE.

6. Student, Parent and Guardian Rules

In addition to the general rules above, students, parents, and guardians must not:

Submit fake, dishonest, or testing requests.
Misuse a tutor's contact details after a tutoring arrangement has ended.
Harass tutors or pressure them into unsafe or unfair arrangements.
Refuse to pay for tutoring services that have been agreed and delivered, or otherwise act in bad faith in any tutoring arrangement made through the Platform.

7. Monitoring and Enforcement

We reserve the right (but are not obliged) to:

Monitor activity on the Platform.
Review profiles, requests, messages, and other content where we reasonably believe doing so is necessary to enforce our Terms or to protect users.
Investigate suspected breaches of this AUP.
Cooperate with law-enforcement authorities and regulators.

8. Enforcement Actions

If we determine that you have breached this AUP, we may take any one or more of the following actions, with or without notice as we consider appropriate:

Issue a warning.
Remove or hide content.
Restrict or limit your access to specific features.
Suspend your account temporarily.
Terminate your account permanently.
Refuse to allow you to create future accounts.
Report unlawful conduct to the relevant UAE authorities. We will generally aim to take proportionate action, but we may take immediate, severe action where the breach is serious — for example, where it involves fraud, safeguarding risks, harassment, or misuse of personal data.

9. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any conduct that you believe breaches this AUP, please report it as soon as possible by contacting us at [email protected]. Where appropriate, please include:

The username or profile of the user involved.
A description of what happened, with dates and times where possible.
Any screenshots or other evidence (only where you can lawfully share them). We treat all reports confidentially to the extent reasonably possible. We will not retaliate against any user who reports a genuine concern in good faith.

10. No Tolerance for Serious Breaches

We have no tolerance for breaches involving:

Fraud or attempted fraud.
Safeguarding risks to minors or vulnerable adults.
Harassment, threats, or violence.
Misuse of personal data.
Activity that violates UAE law. Such breaches typically result in immediate account termination and, where appropriate, referral to the authorities.

11. Relationship to Other Policies

This AUP must be read together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Tutor Agreement, Student, Parent & Guardian Terms, Safeguarding & Safety Policy, and Subscription, Billing & Refund Policy.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. The most current version will always be available on the Platform with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
