Safeguarding & Safety Policy

FindMyTutor UAE — Safeguarding & Safety Policy

Operated by Zyron FZE LLC

Effective Date: 1 May 2026
Last Updated: 20 September 2026

1. Purpose

FindMyTutor UAE is operated by Zyron FZE LLC ("we", "us", "our") as a marketplace that connects students, parents, and legal guardians with independent tutors. Many of the people who use the Platform are minors or are parents acting on behalf of minors. Even where students are adults, tutoring relationships involve trust and the possibility of vulnerability.

This Safeguarding & Safety Policy sets out our commitment to a safe environment for all users, the role each party plays, and what to do if a concern arises. It supplements our Terms of Service, Tutor Agreement, Student, Parent & Guardian Terms, and Acceptable Use Policy.

2. Our Role

We provide a marketplace and the tools that help users find each other and communicate. We do not:

  • Supervise tutoring sessions.
  • Employ, contract, or vet every tutor.
  • Guarantee the conduct of any user.
  • Operate as an emergency service or social-services provider. That said, we take safeguarding seriously and will act on credible safety concerns brought to our attention.

3. Shared Responsibility

Safety on the Platform is a shared responsibility:

  • Parents and legal guardians are primarily responsible for the safety of any minor in their care.
  • Tutors are responsible for behaving professionally, lawfully, and appropriately.
  • Adult students are responsible for their own choices and care.
  • We are responsible for providing reasonable tools, policies, and enforcement mechanisms.

4. Responsibilities of Parents and Guardians

Parents and guardians using the Platform on behalf of a minor should:

  • Personally review tutor profiles and information before engaging a tutor.
  • Communicate with the tutor before the first lesson takes place.
  • Approve the lesson format, location, schedule, and fees.
  • Be present, or readily available, for in-person lessons (particularly the first session).
  • Have visibility of communication between the tutor and the minor.
  • Talk to the minor about appropriate boundaries and what to do if anything makes them uncomfortable.
  • Report any concern to us at [email protected] and, where appropriate, to the relevant authorities.

5. Responsibilities of Tutors

Tutors must, at all times:

  • Behave professionally, respectfully, and lawfully.
  • Maintain appropriate boundaries with all users, particularly minors.
  • Avoid private channels of communication with a minor that exclude the parent or guardian, unless the parent or guardian has explicitly authorised the channel.
  • Avoid romantic, suggestive, sexual, or otherwise inappropriate communication with any minor.
  • Respect privacy controls and not pressure users for personal information.
  • Promptly raise any safeguarding concern they become aware of.

5.1 Tutors Must Not

  • Engage in any inappropriate, sexual, or exploitative communication with a minor or an adult user.
  • Encourage a minor to keep communications secret from a parent or guardian.
  • Arrange to meet a minor in private without the parent or guardian's knowledge and consent.
  • Provide alcohol, tobacco, drugs, or any other harmful substance to any user.
  • Behave in any way that could reasonably be regarded as putting a minor or vulnerable adult at risk. Any breach of this section will be treated extremely seriously, may lead to immediate termination of the tutor's account, and may be reported to the UAE authorities.

6. In-Person Tutoring Safety

Where lessons take place in person:

  • Choose safe and appropriate locations.
  • Avoid isolated venues, especially for first meetings.
  • Where a minor is involved, ensure a parent or guardian is present, in the home, or in a public area where the lesson can be observed.
  • Set clear arrival, departure, and break expectations.
  • Respect household and venue rules.

7. Online Tutoring Safety

Where lessons take place online:

  • Use reputable video, audio, or messaging platforms with appropriate privacy controls.
  • Where a minor is involved, the parent or guardian should be aware of the platform used and have visibility of the arrangement.
  • Avoid recording sessions without informed consent of all participants (and, in the case of minors, their parent or guardian).
  • Keep the lesson environment appropriate (background, attire, language).
  • Avoid sharing personal social-media handles with a minor outside the scope of the tutoring arrangement.

8. Communication Safety

All users must:

  • Treat each other with respect.
  • Avoid offensive, discriminatory, or harassing language.
  • Avoid sharing inappropriate, sexual, or harmful content.
  • Respect requests not to be contacted further if a user has made that clear. If you are unsure whether something is appropriate, err on the side of caution and keep the conversation focused on the tutoring.

Our team may review messages sent through the Platform to identify safeguarding concerns, fraud and breaches of our Terms. Access is restricted to authorised team members and is logged.

9. Reporting Concerns to Us

If you have a safeguarding or safety concern about anything that has happened on or in connection with the Platform, please contact us promptly at [email protected]. Where appropriate, please include:

  • The names or usernames of those involved.
  • What happened, with dates and times where possible.
  • Where it happened (on the Platform, by email, in person, etc.).
  • Any screenshots or supporting evidence (only where you can lawfully share them).
  • Whether the matter has been reported to any authority. We treat reports confidentially to the extent reasonably possible. We will not retaliate against any user who reports a genuine concern in good faith.

10. What We May Do in Response

On receipt of a credible safeguarding or safety concern, we may:

  • Investigate the matter, including reviewing relevant data and communications on the Platform.
  • Suspend the account of any user involved while we investigate.
  • Restrict access to specific features.
  • Permanently terminate accounts.
  • Cooperate with UAE authorities where appropriate.
  • Take any other action we consider reasonable and proportionate. We will not disclose the identity of a reporter to the subject of the report unless required to do so by law or with the reporter's consent.

11. Emergencies

FindMyTutor UAE is not an emergency service. If you, or a person you are concerned about, is in immediate danger or there is an immediate risk to life or safety:

  • Contact local UAE emergency services immediately (999 for Police, 998 for Ambulance, 997 for Fire and Civil Defence).
  • Where a child is at risk, contact the Child Protection Unit at the Ministry of Interior on 116111 or relevant local authorities.
  • Notify us afterwards at [email protected] so we can take any further action that is appropriate on our side.

12. Limitation of Responsibility

While we are committed to operating the Platform safely and acting on credible concerns, Zyron FZE LLC is not responsible for the conduct of users, the quality of tutoring, or events that occur in person or outside the Platform. The general limitations set out in our Terms of Service apply.

13. Continuous Improvement

We keep our safeguarding practices under review and may update them from time to time as the Platform evolves. The most current version of this Policy will always be available on the Platform with an updated "Last Updated" date.
